I don't whinge very often

No you didn't say it, I said 1000yds, based on what I have regularly seen
its one of the standard middle-lane hoggers reasons, along with ruts in left hand lane and not having to keep changing lanes...
I thought thats why we had steering wheels.
It should be as in America where you can overtake on either side.
Cant agree with that (Sorry) there's a certain etiquette that needs to be upheld on our motorways, undertaking and not observing the rules drives me loopy.

Other than by some mental motorcyclists, I don't ever remember been undertaken,.
I move back to the left hand lane after overtaking and indicate when I get close to a slower moving vehicle. I either get let, out or they move to the outside lane.

other ways of driving are also available ;)

Well you don't see the loonies I see. Travel the M6 regularly and see the total loonies lane weaving. Morons getting nowhere fast.

I see where @gookah is coming from here (but not meaning to offend anyone else.)

That queue of traffic in the middle lane waiting to overtake the lorry is only caused by one moron who decides to drive slowly when doing so. If everyone were less impatient, and more respectful of our rules of the road, that queue should all be in the left hand lane.

Andrea is learning to drive at the moment (god help me), and what I can never stress to her enough is:

(In the U.K.) Everyone should only be driving in the furthest left lane, unless overtaking. The sole purpose of the one/two/three lanes to the right for overtaking only (Or turn right... sometimes :dead:).

Think I recently got done in Scotland, still waiting, if I did no ones fault but mine. Don't moan if you get caught speeding.

If that was the time on Steve's trip, then you should be OK. They have to issue the notice of intended prosecution within 14 days.

Here's hoping Mike

I'd hate to be the police officer inside there taking the pictures =))
Specially the night after a gallon of lager and a curry . . . . . . . .;)

Tony.

We regularly see a camera speed enforcement van in the village. He hides at the entrance to the caravan sales place so you only get to see him last minute. So much so that the local peeps have started putting signs up... revenue officers with camera ahead. .. they took action against them.. but the locals won the battle. As the sign did not mention police or camera partnership... yes people speed we have all done it. The ones that they do not catch are the idiot drivers who cut up, cut in and cause chaos for other road users.

One good thing to note, after a petition was started on a bikers page and also signed by myself and a few others.. if cyclists are out in a group, they must obey the road traffic regulations relating to slow moving vehicles.. they must not hinder or delay other traffic. They must also pull over to let other faster traffic road users pass. One of my biker friends from a fequent pit stop, (Starbucks) was over the moon as they were becoming a pain riding down fast national speed limit roads in large groups. Sometimes three abreast and at least five / six deep. Hence the part about hindering other road users. Remains to be seen if anyone will get prosecuted for it.
