They did quote for our cars , and did say they could not be competitive due to us being over 70. Stayed with nfu in the end .
There seems to be some inconsistency in responses received e.g. garage /no garage and age. I won't ask how far over 70, but they did give us a very competitive quote for a 71 & 68 year old with no garage. When we applied we had a silly price renewal quote from Saga and a load of lower price quotes from moneysupermarket comparison site. They matched the comparison site prices with like for like Saga policy conditions.

No garage. Ages 76 & 73 son also included age 48 ---- 3 cars. Z3 , X1 and Nissan QQ They never asked about garage. I am also included on sons cars ( Cooper S and Isuzu DMax) again with nfu. Other advantage to us of nfu is we can call in the office and sort it out---- they do not charge extra for paying over 12 months which we need to do to help on our Santander bank accounts (they need 2 standing orders per month to get better interest rate) They don't charge for amending policy , and policy includes RAC cover (only required for the Z3 )
