This piece of junk has blighted my life for the last 15 years. Apparently it was involved in a head on crash north of the border and a very nice Scot in an RAC truck brought it home, I don't know why he bothered. Owner seems to think it's worth £15,000, never would be to me when you could buy an ///M for that kind of money.

I spy a Rover 3.9 V8, but what is the car?

An old TVR?

I struggle to see the value in some of these old cars, they may be rare, but some of the ones I've been in have driven so badly that I'd never buy one.

Does he think it's worth 15k as is? or when he's spent a fair chunk of money on it restoring it?

I owned a Griff for a short while, I was convinced the car was going to kill me so sold it, it would spin up the rear wheels in 3rd gear on a dry road.

Hi Shelly, it's a 1991 TVR S1.(pile of poop);) I hate it with a passion. I wish it would die, but tonight I was told he has already spent £5000 on parts to repair it.:(

I don't know anything about these cars.

But looking on Pistonheads there are nice examples for £6-£7k. So it's not worth £15k and he's spending as much as it's worth on parts for the repair.

Each to his own though. Perhaps he thinks the same about Z3s!

Possibly so Rob, I've just had a look and found this picture. Crazy money. The only thing it has going for it is the noise it makes and TBH I could very soon grow tired of that.

I would happily buy that in its current state, a slice of british history. Well worth restoring.

Edit - not for 15k though lol

I am a bit surprised at you lads for taking the pee out of another enthusiasts pride and joy. He likes it enough to spend another 5k to get it up and running so that's good enough for me. I am not criticising just saying.
