I used to own a 1999 Z3 2.8 . Six years ago I had an accident at work and was finished due to medical reasons. This meant my lovely Zed had to be sold.
Eventually I got back on my feet and had a MGTF and a MR2. I enjoyed playing around with them and it kept me out of mischief. I bought another MGTF a few months ago and brought this up to a nice standard, I was thinking of another car to play with since this was finished and my mate wanted to buy it. Looking on Gumtree I saw a pic of a silver Z3! It was my old car. Rang the seller and went and bought it. Looked just the same as when I owned it, only 12k more on the clock. Now shows 84k.
Here's to lots of playing with it in the garage. Stainless exhaust etc, etc.

Agree with Gary, what a great story, did you reveal it was your old car before the cash had changed hands?

What a nice story!
Many times I have the feeling that we are following a script , page by page.
Congratulations and many miles with the old/ new friend!

Yep told him when I rang. It was a Friday evening. My wife was on the phone to her friend. I saw the car on laptop and was waving at her etc, etc. But tried to tell her I just got the look ! So I told him I would pick it up Sat morning.. She was quite understanding really

A great story, pleased you ended up back with your zed .
If you're thinking of getting a new exhaust, I can recommend Custom Pipes in Doncaster, another member on here @Antm72 had his done there first.
Here's a pic of mine

The tail pipes fill the cut out nicely

The sound is addictive,I love it :).
Far better than the stock exhaust, which looked lost in the cut out and sounded like a milk float.

That's another job on my list, I have an Earls braided hose ready to go on. It's only been in my shed for 8 weeks so it's still early .

Great to read your Z3 story Eddy, my mate bought his old Kawasaki back after many years a few years ago, albeit in boxes, but now he rides whenever he feels like it. Welcome back to the world of Zeds. Are you located near Doncaster?
