And of course you'll start a build/progress thread won't you.

hmm…..have I successfully managed to stay on budget on my project cars? Never.
I started doing a spreadsheet for all the costs on my rebody. Gave up after a few weeks, as it costs what it costs. The spreadsheet would only remind me how expensive it is. I actually don't want to know anymore, and there is the risk that the wife may see! o_O

Well mate with regard to the opening question, well the jury has been out on that one for some time me thinks. That being said, go for it mate. I would if I had a place to do it in, staying on budget is not mandatory, it's optional, my missus still believes a spark plug costs $150.00, which of course they pretty much do if you get em from a dealership, bought plenty of them for my last V8 diesel Land Cruiser, but now I have the Ranger a four cylinder 3.2 turbo diesel, I have had to tighten the purse strings a bit, because I would not want to get caught falsifying service records, would I ?......... ;) .. To that end, I still have to get my fuel expenditure system fixed because the gauge says we are using at Full all the time never Economy, I have permission to fix that, after spluttering to halt last week...=))

You didn't buy spark plugs for a diesel :)

Votes are tied so far - will give you benefit of the doubt, maybe - how longs the poll for ? :p
Has nothing to do with cars tho

 The first "yes" vote was mine, so even if the voting says different, I have made my mind already.
Besides I think I am doing my best to establish this to all the fine users of this forum, with success so far.

Well... this one is too far gone. Has major structural issues that need more than 6 inch patches to be repaired and the most dissapointing is that the engine is not complete and looks in a very bad shape.
Will revisit after I check two more that are for sale and maybe raise the bar and try to twist this guys arm a bit

its a complete car and allegedly was restored in the 90s, claims no rust.

That’s certainly upping the game a tad, looks nice example in the pics. Await your inspection, the dealer should have no objection to have it up on a lift for a thorough inspection if he claims it’s rust free. Hopefully it will not be a disappointment. You won’t be able to one of those over here for that money.
