Hows your memory? Show us yours

Interesting to see people's affinity to certain marques of car plus the few more diverse and more exotic models.

Sure was nodzed silver with blue stripes down the sides, this one had fishnet recraros ,MFK 797V i always Remeber it,I sold it to lad who wrapped it around a lampost three weeks later,my memories great on long term stuff ,I can remember 90%off the Reg plates, yet short term memory is useless, I struggle to remember what i was doing last weekend

We used to have a guy come in at work with a Toyota Celica "Carlos Sainz" edition Nice car!

Tony.

A great car Tony for sure was the four wheel drive turbo celica,I had the privilege off hearing them on wrc a while back, but my mate had mk1 supra 2.8 which I adored, they were quite popular at the time in Australia , and people import rust free examples now over here, which I've tempted to buy a few times, but in all honesty I'm happy with what I've got for now,iff I was to jump ship ,it would be in a early z4.

I have really bonded with my 2003 Z4 Jimmy, although I do love the Z3 especially individual coloured ones like yours and Stevo's pair (and Sean's Protronic Blue:)). As an everyday use I really don't think I could live with a Z3 and until such time as I can afford 2 cars (or more;)) I'm very happy with my Z4.

I remember seeing one of those when it got delivered to Hallens Toyota in Cambridge, I was totally blown away, what an awesome car in it's day.

I last heard one of those used in anger at Clumber Park Notts. Back in the day when the RAC rally still did cover a fair bit of the UK. Along with Audi Quattro etc.

Just such a shame that the owner didn't really understand what he had, or worse, didn't care and he let go to pot.:(:(

Nice pics Tim.

I knock around with a few z3 friends who very rarely come on here ,and they refer to z4 as the dark side,I find that quite insulting ,even though I don't own one, but I have driven a few and I'm quite keen on them, plus there looks,I've had me hands stuck under the z3 manifold this weekend ,replacing the cvv tubes,(bi***)icv out ,throttle body out etc,the z4 gives you much room to work on compared to the z3, but I'm still more than happy with the z3.

That's a fair comment mate. Considering the age difference between ours cars (4-5 years?) they are very different animals.

The Toyota Supra 2.8 Mk1 was nice, mine was dark blue @Jimmy Weston, but I preferred the Mk2 which was essentially the same, but had wider wheels and arches plus a few other styling bits. I think it looked better and I was more confident with the grip, except in the wet. They were both a bit tail happy!

OK, here goes in date owned order:

Triumph GT6
Reliant scimitar SE5a

Have 1/43 scale models of 12 of above, 1/18 scale of 6 and 1/87 scale of 4.

An interesting exercise, thanks OP:)

Oh wow - time to get embarrassed then. In order of oldest to now ...

Ford Escort Mk1 1.1 (terrible car)
Ford Escort Mk1 1300E (in the mighty metallic purple)
Morris 1800 (like a maxi but worse)
Fiesta 1300S (nice stripes)
Vauxhall Cavalier mk2 (baby poo brown interior - nice )
Ford Escort mk3 1.6 ghia (rather liked that one)
Peugeot 505 estate just like this. https://goo.gl/images/vF1ywW I called it the Tunisian taxi (bit racist so forgive me I was young)
Toyota Previa Mk1
Volvo S70 2.5T (a fast funeral directors car I called Cyril H)
Toyota Avensis estate (2nd gen)
Ford S-Max 2.3 ghia
VW Touran 1.4 TSi (not a dodgy diesel) - my current daily drive
BMW Z3 2.2 (although it may change body profile very soon)

All in all a sorry list.

My fave car is the purple Escort as it was a bit of fun. Best, most practical and bullet-proof, was the previa. Having four kids from an early age has definitelily influenced my choices. But now ...
