How's Grumpy today?

Dave, what causes the stones?
Build up of fat Mark. Basically it's balls of cholesterol blocking up the gallbladder which is the part of the body that releases the bile into your stomach to break fats down. If it can't do its job it backs up, the fats can't digest and the bile backs up which in turn causes the liver to stop functioning properly. Makes you feel proper crap and can cause all sorts of issues if not sorted. I'll be glad when it's done with. In short stick to a healthy diet!

Your diet is healthy now Dave, stick with it.

Things will get better hopefully.

Ps hope the Notts cruise will be on still.

I've just put myself down for it!

Don't know you personally young sir, only through your posts etc, but glad your your feeling a bit better, and hope you get it sorted...
Probably meet up one day with you and some more z owners when we can get some time, as this being retired lark ain't all it's cracked up to be, nearly one year old granddaughter to look after every day for 8 hours is mighty tiring and time consuming .. ha ha.. :D all the best.. Dave &Viv.

Not just a UK problem unfortunetly except i think in the USA where if you have a ton of cash you're in, no money you wait and wait. Just cost my cousin close to $80k US to stay in hospital when her twins were born. JIM

How much! That's obscene!

I know, and agree they have to pay big $$$ for insurance but if you can't afford it you have a major problem. Obama put in health insurance for the poor and met with nothing but resistance for doing so. It seems they'd just as soon lose the poor in their country than allow them affordable care. JMO JIM

With all its waiting lists, we are lucky to have the NHS. And free prescriptions (in Wales)

Hi Dave sorry things not going too well, remember to let us know if we can do anything :) Keep off the brandy is my advice, a nice drop of beer is better, we will have to lead you astray when your over your ops :beer:beer

Guess who's back in hospital again! Lasted a whole 24 hours this time. Jack and Jue bought me in about 9 last night after another stone started to move. Bloody agony again! Just been delivered back to the same ward. They all looked so pleased to see me! I've asked for the minor op for the stones to be removed to be brought forward as I can't keep going through the pains and not knowing when the next ones coming. The answer was "well nothing will happen till at least Tuesday cos it's a bank holiday!" Really? My faith in the NHS is sinking fast.

Crap news Dave, Chin up mate.

Tony.
