How To Guide How to Remove Z3 Roll Hoops

Forgive my stupidity. But there are mounting points for the hoops. They are inserted into them, it's just the bolts are missing. As you can see by the attached photo, unless I'm wrong which is quite possible, I'd bet the farm that the "tubes" into which the hoops are inserted were built with the car.

Can I suggest you read my post again. I didn't say the outer hoop fixings weren't fitted.

In a nutshell I suspect that it would appear that your car left the factory, because its an early model without the preparation for roll hoop fitment. Hence the exclusion of the placement of the INNER HOOP bracket mounting points and the OUTER HOOP bolts and bolt locations. Therefore someone has fitted the hoops into the outer receptors, the items you keep posting the photo of, by some other means.
I may be wrong but they are held in there somehow and it appears not to be with the OEM fitting kit. Good luck sorting your problem out.
