My grandaughter passed her test a couple of years ago. Out with her in her mother CooperS she parked and pulled the handbrake up ,so you heard ever notch,never used the button. I comment on it and got told its how she was taught to make sure she pulled it up.!!!!!!!

Young people today, eh?Taught to use the brakes, not the gears, to slow down, too. Probably.

Yes. No idea of engine braking —- also complaining about lack of power going up hill, she was changing up with hardly any revs on —- Consider this is a CooperS With me Driving Z3 she kept telling me to change up with 2000 revs on clock.

People get taught how to pass the test, which isn't necessarily the same as being taught to drive.
