Apologies if this has already been posted but I couldn`t find it anywhere. I was looking on .net :ymblushing: and found the following info. I`m not sure that I should copy and paste from there so I`m giving the link to the original article on PH. If it`s allowed it might be a good article to be reproduced for the knowledge base.

Thats fine Alec, you appear to be reposting my internet posts :D Oh how things circle around on the internet.

That it's a copy of what I posted on the BMW Car Club Forum (after posting it here first). I should have put a copyright on it, but at least the PH poster credits the CC Forum! BMW Car Club Forum Link - link only works for members!

I put it in the Z4 section on here, so it's good to have the info in the Z3 section as well ;)

Hi GazHyde, Never thought to look in the z4 section #-o . It looks a like a good ref article. I`ll try it out with mine when I`ve a bit more time and see if mine has changed much over the years.

Hi stevie_a, try missing the first part and go straight to the next section using your vin number. I think the first link was to get your vin without having to find your reg doc.

You need to use the original registration number, or just go outside and look on the windscreen :D .

I just tried it and it's still working! Are you copying/pasting the username password or typing them in by hand?

When you copy a word the space following the word is also copied. That is probably your problem.

Hi vintage42, what are the captcha characters??

The characters in the blue fuzzy section. It's only displayed if you click on the UK/US flags at the bottom of the site. It will be unique each time you use it.

A security feature to prevent web-bots from entering sites. A set of characters is displayed in a distorted and obscured fashion as a graphic, rather than as text. Optical character recognition software can't make out the characters; only a human can.
