It's your 65th Birthday, the sun is shining, so what do you do? The answer is take Sandy out for Lunch somewhere special, in the Zed with the top down, so dig out the cloth cap and the black leather gloves, find something warm and cosy to go round your neck, any fleece jacket will suffice. Persuade Sandy to do the same and Sandringham here we come!!!

A nice steady run into Sandringham, remembering not to put too much power on the back axles when we go round the corners. as the roads are covered with leaves and very slippery, in case the back end slips out!

Have the obligatory photo shoot in front of the main gate of Sandringham House, then a quick poodle down to the restaurant, find the largest car parking space in the car park, in our case, one big enough for a bus!! Put the top up to prevent Squirrel invasion, a nice stroll through the leafy lane to the restaurant passed a well oiled giant Squirrel statue, walk into the restaurant, order a home grown Sandringham Bull burger for me and a Lamb Cobbler for Sandy with two glasses of red wine, followed a delicious slice of Sandringham Victoria sponge and a Cappuccino!

Leaving the restaurant, a brisk stroll around Sandringham Park, then a quiet ride home with as many shopping detours as Sandy could fit in!

Now what more can a man ask!!

Looks like a great birthday Mike, glad you both had a lovely day out and you had "summery" weather too, the sun shines on the righteous . Shame about the shopping ;)=)).

Such a wonderful place to go for a romantic lunch. Great weather and I expect good roads and a day to remember! Here's to many more years Mike. I'm looking at the big 70 next summer. Would be great to spend it in the UK. We'll have to see about that! JIM

That's great Mike, congratulations. My 65th birthday treat was buying myself the Zed.:)
Yes, @mwpe, Unfortunately I bought my Zed in the summer last year, So thats one birthday treat I've missed out on. Of course they still give me a big Buzz every time I drive one!

Mike

I hope you do come over Jim, It will be great to see you, perhaps you can persuade @FRANKIE to come as well.

Mike

I'm sure @FRANKIE would be up for that! Would be nice to meet you and Sandy as well as many others. I'm really torn between the UK and Santiago, Chile where my next grandchild will be born in about three weeks. Congratulations again!! JIM

How many grandchildren will that make now, Jim. Your children are spend far & wide, but at least facetime and Skype help you to keep in touch visually, but there's nothing like meeting up and actually being there!!

So true Mike nothing like being with them. My stepdaughter Jana is three hours away, one daughter Emily in Regina Saskatchewan (long story there), Damon is in Santiago with Joaquín and soon to be Mati, and Nik the youngest lives a five min walk from us. He has Trinity (who lives with us) Draken his step son and little Piper Quinn who will be a year on Dec 12. Then there's my forum adopted daughter Stacey in Aylesbury UK. So you can see my problem as to which direction I go!! Take care both of you, JIM

If it weren't for a mate named Mike, I wouldn't know the first thing about Sandringhouse. I really enjoyed that day with you and @Rev. It looks like you and Sandy had a bit of fun together. I'm happy for the both of you. Frankie
