i have just seen an advert on tv suggesting we can send our dna to be added to the ancestry data base, is it just me getting a bit paranoid or is this a real stupid and dangerous idea.

From DNA they can look at your susceptibility to certain illnesses. Imagine how much a database of DNA with names and all the other information would be worth. You get nothing for nothing and you give permission for them to use you DNA profile as they see fit. Only the idiots will fall for that one.
