Swimbo must have been bored the other evening, she was on the computer, and I received the above exclamation!
It turned out she had put her reg no into We buy any car.com !!
Don't get me wrong, she has owned The Broomstick for a few months now, and absolutely loves it.
It is a 2.2 individual in Estoril blue, it had a new roof (blue), new tyres, most of the history is there, I have to say it is Immaculate, nearly as shiny underneath as on top, you got the picture.
The offer from that site was...….drum roll...….£400 minus admin fees! and you have to get it to their depot yourself, then they will re-asses their offer! (cut it)
I paid £2,500 and recon I got an absolute bargain.
Who uses these people? Even dick Turpin wore a mask!
 
I know these companies are a joke and must be for desperately cash stricken folk I out of curiosity entered my Reg of my at the time slk32 and the offer was 2750 I then went on to sell it privately for 5700 ! As the advert says if you value your time for the sake of a few quid, if only it were a few quid. Phillip schofield should be strung up by his darn.
 
How does boll**** become darn ?
 
It works a lot better for newer cars.

They came within spitting distance when I sold my 3 year old Alhambra. But I didn’t trust them to honour it. Or to not try and lock me in a room and not let me leave without selling.

They're robbers! They'll sell the cars on to trade plus a mark-up then the traders will mark-up the cars from this.

Just for hells sake I've just put mine through "We burgle any car" and they valued it at..........the f***ing skanking rob dogging chuffing bloody......i don't know what else to say really!!!! :wideyed::wideyed::arghh::arghh::wideyed::wideyed:

I tried Evans Halshaw recently as I'd heard some decent reports.

EH offered £19,780

I sold the car to a dealer for £31,500

However, my friend recently sold them a Golf for £12,400

The best he'd been offered in PX was £11,000

So on some cars they are ok.

I put my Z on their the other night and I was offered £400 :(
