House price?

Well here ye go, Garry @Jack Ratt was closest so well done that man. As promised I'll knock you £5K off the asking price.

The bill for building Reg and Dot's house was One thousand, six hundred and fifty six pounds, fourteen shillings and seven pence ha'penny.

And that was 71/2 d (Roman pennies) not p.;)

Tony.

I wonder was his pay packet was back in the day?

Shirl has his pay packet from then Mike, a proper little brown envelope to. Reg earned the princely sum of £9 19 and 3d.

All relative I suppose.

Tony.

Not helping though that after my divorce and selling the house I now rent a nice apartment above my mates business nearly in the center of town for E 750 a month :meh:

Well mate I firmly believe that when you got your money, in cash in a little brown packet, you clearly understood that " When it's gone, it's gone" Not so easy with plastic is it?

Tony.

That doesn't sound bad for a town centre flat mate.

€ 750 = £ 670.--

I'm in a house share and pay £ 390.-- inc all bills, even a cleaner and gardener.

Hardly ever see or hear the other Housemates.

We had to move our daughter back home from Canada and she bought her fella back with her.
I moved out to make room in the house for them, i signed up for 6 month's and 4 1/2 years later i'm still here.

Enjoying my independence and disposable income too much, i'm not moving back in :D

Our 2 sons are currently house sharing with us and we receive the grand sum of £25 a week from each of them.

That's exactly the same as us 2 sons £25 a week each , it doesn't even cover the weeks shopping

Our agreement is that they save as much of their salary as possible to enable them to get a decent house deposit so that one day they'll both f*** off, and that they don't bring trouble to my door.

They both realise they are getting a good deal and so far so good.

They both buy their own food if they don't want the stuff in the fridge and they do their own washing and ironing.
