Well my 15 year old hood was looking a bit grubby, not bad by any means, but I thought it could do with a bit of TLC. I've had the Renovo Kit kicking about in the garage for a while and as the zed is off on holiday soon I thought I'd give it a go.
Looks much better now, did the cleaning/washing first stage, then covered/masked off the windows and body while I did the black dye stage and then finally re-proofed. Obviously you can still see the wear marks, but the hood just looks much cleaner overall.
In between this I took my boot rack apart as the clamp parts had a bit of rust in places. Cleaned, removed rust, Jenolite followed by smooth black Hammerite. So it's all looking much tidier for it's holiday trip.

Mine could do with a dye job Ken, is the Renovo stuff good?

Thanks Shelly , good to know. Where did you buy yours from and I presume it is available in blue?

I'm not sure what colours they do :p
We brought the first lot from Halfords ;)
And then the 2nd lot from EBay :)
Well worth the money :)
We got the cleaner , the dye and the water repellent all in one pack ;)

I got the Renovo kit, ie; cleaner, renovate(dye) and re-proofer, but bought an extra bottle of dye as well. I bought the extra bottle because they recommend two coats and I didn't want to run out part way through. My roof wasn't bad so I've actually just done one coat, so it depends on the state of the roof. Certainly improved the look of my roof.
It's cheaper on fleabay than in the shops and you can get different colours @ Eddie Zedder.

Thanks Ken, I will get some ordered .

No pictures Ken? o_O

Just noticed this is in 'The Beauty Parlour' ! Now that's somewhere I've never been before as I'm sure you'll all agree.=))

Wow the top pic looks like a new roof. Erm may have to have a go with my new to me blue one if it's available in blue.

Is this what you used Ken??

Scratch Doctor do Blue, did my old roof looked good after treatment. Only used reno product on the old rear screen. Was advised by the guy that fitted my new roof to steer clear of renovo products but didn't explain why?
Biggest must do! mask up everything it splashes everywhere.

Yes Dave, that's the Renovo 'colour' part, but I did the cleaner first, then the colour and finally the re-proofer. Agree with Paul, I masked off all the areas around the roof when applying the 'colour' coat.
