Dry here today so I spent a long time removing all the mud, cow, sheep and horse muck that the zed collected on a trip around the Peak District on Wednesday. Cleaning finished, car checked over and tank filled to the brim with 'super' it is now going into hibernation until Spring.

Well it seems I messed up my on line Sorn application at the end of October and so Kiwi is still on the road until December! I'll make sure I take a drive every reasonable day this month. :D :racecar:

I always used to start mine occasionally and warm it up but soon realised I was filling the exhaust with condensation and never going to get enough temperature into it without driving a good distance to evaporate it, exhaust rusts out.

Now I just leave her and yes I use a dehumidifier in the cabin stops the speaker grills going rusty.

Tucked mine up at the end of last month under a cover in the garage. Garage is dry and relatively warm being part of the house. Battery charge every 6 weeks wont be started until spring.

Do you keep your Zed insured when SORN’d and tucked up in your garage? My insurer charges £29.50 admin fee every time you make a change to the policy (I have a multi-car policy). I believe admin fees are quite normal these days. So if I SORN my Z3, it’s going to cost me a total of £59 to take the Z3 off the policy, and put it back on later. That’s more that the actual Z3 premium for say 4 months! I know I will save the road tax, but hardy seems worth it.

I always keep my cars insured whether on the road or not.
I do too, it can still be stolen or damaged even if it's off the road and in a garage.
