Hi Les, bought my Zed on a whim really, but it's not one I regret. The 2.8 is a great choice, but then I am bias:cool:

Welcome from Truro

Thanks Dan, I must admit I was amazed to find the insurance on the 2.8 was cheaper than my 1.3 run around by about £30 yr!
I hope to keep the Z3 long term as I have had enough of ploughing through Old 50,s - 70's Classics and the constant attention they demand.
I do view the Z3 as a Classic though. I am fortunate that one of my sons has his own Garage (he is into MK3 2 door Cortina's but tends to stuff cossie engines in them) so I no longer have to roll around on the drive with ramps and axle stands now as I can book a four poster in the dry (Ah Bliss) .....If I don't fancy the job also I can also persuade him to show me how (Wink) ;)
Forum also looks helpful & friendly. :)

Hi and welcome Les from here near Lincoln. You have definitely made the right 2 choices, 1. Buying a Z3 and 2. Joining this forum, definitely the best, but then I'm biased too.:)

:welcome: Les - you will still need the spanners but it's a lot easier on the Zed.

Hi there!
I also joined today! I can't help with anything vaguely technical so I'm just being friendly :)
Don't count yourself out of the tech part just yet @Gail it may prove premature. Drop around to one of the projects going on and you'll be surprised what you can contribute! And welcome from Canada, JIM

Hi Les, bought my 97 z3 1.9 in the UK last year and imported it to Canada and had never sat in one. Every step was done on my iPhone from step one to arriving on my drive. My story gets a bit long winded but picked my car up from getting to know the owner. Smiling all the way all the time. JIM
