Update;
I have driven an early Z3 , "narrow body", with the M 44 engine,....quite nice, and usable,.....no noticeable rot to the sill covers, or sills, as far as I could see,......but feeling up on the rear wishbone I found a substantial amount of rust,...also where where the bushing mounts to the body.
The diagrams I have seen seem to indicate that the mounting plate bolts on to the chassis, and could be replaced,......or should I just be walking away from this one?
Opinions, please?
Brian.

Hi and welcome from London, there are plenty to choose from so why buy yourself work unless it's cheap as chips.

I'm old school, a sports or G.T. car should't have a slush box transmission. I desire a mechanical connection to the rear wheels in my cars.
(Other opinions are available!)
Cheers all,
Bonzo.
