A quick introduction from a retired Yorkshireman living in exile in Worcestershire. E85 2004 owner of a 2.5 straight six with just 40k miles from 1 previous owner. Intent on enjoying life with the top down and a smile.

Question regarding How to activate the key for BMW ‘comfort’ settings to enable top down/up from a key press when approaching the car? What do I need/cost to use the key feature. TiA

If memory serves, been a while since I had an e85, you can only lower the top on the fob not raise it unless you buy a module and wire it in a very simple job. But for now if you press and hold the unlock button on your fob it should lower the top. If my memory is shot someone will jump in and correct me.

I don't recall ever hearing about a "comfort" option on the E85 so maybe it doesn't exist on that model. I could be wrong.
I fitted the roof module on my E85, at the time it was around £100 and I thought it was well worth it, especially in a carpark where there wasn't much room for getting into the car.

Tony.

Top definitley opened only on the fob on the Alpina before I fitted the module may have been specific to the model but I dont think so. Maybe I coded it on Carly but honestly can't remember.
