Hi again to all!
I joined last November but wasn't in a position to buy with another classic car to finish and sell.
I've now bought a 2000 Z3 2 litre auto roadster in Topaz, blue soft top and Oregon Beige interior, 75k miles.
There's work to do but is basically very usable. It's been a bit neglected for the last couple of years but is basically very good.
I still haven't sold my classic Citroen XM yet but I'm only a couple of weeks away from putting it on sale and will only then be able to transfer the insurance to the Z3.
We're now so looking forward to the summer with the Z and can't wait to get it on the road. Hoping to attend meetings and to meet some fellow Z fans.
Just a question, but does anyone know if I can change my screen name? Or would I have to rejoin with my new screen name?
Best regards to all,
Chris

Hi again Chris, happy to hear you found a Z. My first one was a 2.0 Auto and was a very nice car. Enjoy!

Tony.

Thinking about it, I do have the beard and I once took a Shetland holiday in a mobile home that Bill Oddie also used for bird watching!

Just a word about the car, air bag light on, I do have full diagnostics, key rebuild (case on order from Spain, seems a better product), a howl from the rear wing area when the c/locking is activated, fuel flap lock?, irritatingly stiff and slow to return throttle pedal feel, possibly damping grease that needs replacing,1 tyre, bits and pieces inside the car and a total interior clean. Body excellent inc.rear arches, no rust gives the impression of a car that has been garaged for most of it's life, engine and box seem A1 (drove home 250 miles). Chris
