HI Everyone!

I have had my Z4 for about 3 years, but been off the road for nearly 2, but it'll be back in the next couple of weeks! I'm from Staffordshire

Hi Charlotte and welcome!

I’m not sure @Mint will be able to help as I thought your car was a Z3. No doubt he’ll let you know when he’s in the site. Fingers crossed!

Hi Charlotte and welcome from me near Lincoln. Can you remember what fault was displayed when the codes were read?
It would help to be able to offer advice if you could.

Tony.

unfortunately not, it doesn't show since it has been cleared, which makes me think the fault has gone but the light is on.. i know on more recent cars that is the case. Mine is a 2004. I read before that the light is a common fault :( unfortunately bought it with a sticker over the light which you don't notice if you don't know its there!!

I'm in Stafford and always in Eccleshall!
I'm the other side of Stafford out by Weston but I'll still look out for you;)

Normally when the actual fault is cleared but the fault code has not been cleared the light will be on. When the fault code is cleared the light is extinguished.

If you don't get this fixed in the near future Charlotte, an opportunity to have it “looked at” may come up soon if you fancy a drive out.

Tony.
