going good so far, picked it up yesterday as a none runner, connected a battery via jump leads and fired up and ticked over on first turn with the 1/4 tank of fuel in it. was taken off road after breaking down on motorway having lost all its water and no-one touched it since recovery man dropped it off...was just a hose coming from bulkhead to engine if that makes sense...anyway connected that up and filled it, no leaks and ran it till hot and purged air and seems all sweet. will upload some pics over weekend when i start on bodywork. no damage to engine, only 61k

thanks everyone for the warm welcome, photos will be on over the weekend, its a bit of a mess at the moment, hood covered in mould and bird droppings but the hood and rear screen looks in good shape., no shine at all on the bonnet, sides are not too bad, plenty of scratches and scuffs to repair. all discs rusted.
plenty to keep me going...............

Well some before the project pics are OK it'll show your progress. I'm not to far from you when I'm back home if you want me to pop down with my DA polisher to see what can be achieved to bring out some of the shine if you want, look forward to your progress.
Many thanks for the offer, i have most of the kit to use for mopping so will see how i get on, my aim is to spend all weekend on the exterior so praying for some decent weather. will post some pics before the weekend how it looks at the moment. hope to have some WOW! pics by sun pm.
