Recently brought this z3 3.0L 2002. was curious if any one knew whether these wheels would have been an original extra or whether someone added them at a later date? cheers

Welcome :)

Style 42 split rims very much a standard Z3 wheel, usually spec'd when ordering at the dealer. Incredibly difficult to find a set for sale anywhere these days.

Yes oem fitment from factory, just not in black, would have been silver. Being split rim that refurbishment wouldn’t have been cheap

Most 3.0l that I have seen have them so I assume they came standard on the 3.0l, I have just started a refurb on a set for my 2.8, IMO they are a luxury version of the style 78

Yes, style 42 and as Gaz quite rightly said an expensive option. I finally settled on a set of these as my choice for a staggered standard 17" wheel, expensive refurbishment but they'll be worth it and look awesome with a polished lip.

They are quite difficult to find not fitted to a car and quite often you will think you've found a set only to realise they are the wrong offsets..
Welcome to the forum BTW :welcome:

Would they have came in black? They are in great condition so assuming they have been restored at some stage
