Hi all,

Just a short introduction,

Names Russell or Russ whichever you prefer,

Just purchased a Z3 2.2 Sport from a very nice member on another forum. Very pleased with the car so far although some mods are on the way.
Hardtop will be coming off today and is on ebay as we speak. New rear screen booked in for Friday and currently looking for new wheels. Think I'm going 18"s staggered. Drivers seat bolster has got to be repaired so am looking for someone to have a look at this.
Engine is very smooth with a lovely exhaust note, Body is very nice although very grubby but I was a Pro detailer for close on 15 years so this won't be a problem and I have some nice products to try out on the Titanium Silver to give it some shine and good reflections. (Hard on silver).

Think that's about it for now, Got all week playing with it so I'll see what I can do to improve it. Interior wise first I think.
Great site, I have been reading loads over the last few days and with all the information on here I can't really see my car going to a dealer for anything soon.
If I can be of assistance to anybody local or whatever then just give me a shout.

Thanks all.

Welcome from Ireland! You should store the hardtop - they're hard to come by.

I know what you are saying but,

It's a ragtop and won't be used in the winter.
Besides the money will buy me a nice set of shiny wheels.

Just think it looks great too with a ragtop instead of metal. They seem to be dying out and more car makers are putting complicated metal roofs on making them look like a coupe whereas with a ragtop they look like they are supposed to look.

Inmy opinion anyway...Thanks for the welcome buddy.

Welcome Russ. I look forward to your input with regards to detailing as I consider myself somewhat of an enthusiastic amateur.

Thanks for the welcome,

Always willing to help out someone who likes to keep it shiny.

Was a supporter on Detailing World for a time but gave detailing up as I never had any time for my wife or anything else.
Working until midnight most days is not a life.

Nothing in the very near future but the 14th August Zedfest is at Shepshed Watermill so not far away.
