Car wasn't in great shape when I bought it but spent about £3k on it including new discs and pads all round, new shocks and eibach springs, new rear axle carrier bushes, big one is the new clutch and DMF - that was £800 on it's own.

Most details pretty much the same, MOT was only a couple of months ago, just done about 200 miles in 12 months sadly. All work other than clean and detail already carried out with the addition of a new hepu water pump also.

Sorry Lewy, I thought you were keeping the car after all the work you've done. So I bought another 1.9 which is being decontaminated now. Congrats on the newborn, that's a boy and girl if memory serves. Hope all goes well. @nathan_jones2002 you will buy it I'm sure once you get there! I was the one interested in the car last year before @Lewy decided to keep it and do some work on it. I'm sure you'll be happy!! JIM

Welcome from Ireland! Just perform a careful inspection of inner and outer bodywork in addition to the usual standard mechanical inspections, and take time also to ask for service documentation etc. Patience is key - you should get a good one!

Thank you @DavidM I've seen a lot of this car in a progress thread. To be honest, being a project car, it won't do much driving. Servicing doesn't bother me. I will fix it up. Always a bonus to have service history but the work that's been done on the car I'm looking at looks like it's a good car to me.
