to the forum from West Cumbria, England.Hey Stacey, thanks for the welcome. Maybe I'll get to see England/Wales/Scotland, etc. some day. I much prefer Europe to visit because man made sites are ancient, 2000 yrs old or more, as apposed to the US where we're soooooo young. I will take my first major road trip/walk about in the US and hope there is a future to visit you guys.Welcome from Aylesbury in the UK IMOLA is such an amazing colour

Well hello to you neighbor, thanks for the invite. I had planned a trip last year, in late August, to tour the Canadian highway from Montreal all the way to the west cost, unfortunately my older brother became terminal and well I just thought I'd hang around to give a little support. Another reason I canceled is I just couldn't find many places to stop to shelter in for the night, it's a very long and lonely trip. That's what gave me the idea/reason for the pop up camper, if I do take that trip I won't have to worry, that much, about where to stay. I plan on taking my slug gun along to get me by all the lions, tigers and bears you have up there. Did all the research about bringing guns into Canada, oh and for those of you who don't know, you'll have to bring your passport now, I guess the US government and Canada have lost trust in one another. hmmmm? Also, you don't want to be labeled an ILL EAGLE Alien. Canada is after all a very foreign country with many strange languages and customs. hahaWelcome from a Canadian neighbour!! Have you thought of returning from the west coast through Canada? With your exchange rate would be a very sweet saving and I could meet you in Winnipeg, Manitoba and show you the sights!! JIM

Hey Frankie, love the pix, just what I'm hoping to find in the US hinterlands. I have to admit it is a lot better if you have a specific destination and people to meet with or actually to follow around in the general local, and perhaps set up some kind of mini road trip. I'm looking forward to meeting as many folks as possible. Later JerryJerry's @imola2000 quote: " Maybe I'll get to see England/Wales/Scotland, etc. some day."
I felt the same way. I decided to do just that in June of 2014. What a good decision!!!! I met our fearless leader:

Jerry welcome..Hi all I just found this site, I've been hoping to find info on removing my rear bumper to mount a trailer hitch.
I hope to have all I need, by late April, to go on a US "walk about," expect to be gone, I hope, 2 to 3 months heading South from MA to Florida, west to San Diego, then every where in between then north to Seattle and finally east again to MA. Any info regarding this trip would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jerry
