My boyhood hero died today, he drove a while Volvo P1800, he was the Saint. R.I.P. Sir Roger Moore.
Tony.
Tony.
Indeed mate. My favourite Bond in my favourite Bond film, Live and Let Die. Sad but a great innings though. My boyhood hero died today, he drove a while Volvo P1800, he was the Saint. R.I.P. Sir Roger Moore.
Tony.
By far the best Bond. That eyebrow could say more than most actors manage in a lifetime.

Afraid so mate.I remember watching the saint as a kid, played by Roger Moore. Saw him on car SOS when he signed the drivers seat of a p1800 that fuzz and the tit were restoring.
A real proper English gent.
@Grumpy I didn't know Nicky Hayden had died till I saw your post.
Was my hero too Tony, more for the Persuaders than anything else which was aired when I was at school. I wanted to be an international playboy driving a pedigree car - still waiting :-( Saw Live and Let Die about 13 times when I had a Saturday night job at the cinema when at school. I went to see him at Buxton Opera House about 3 years ago doing his "An evening with Sir Roger Moore" was really good actually seeing him for real. His death didn't even make TV news. Feel very saddened.
That very episode has just started on National Geographic as a tribute to Roger Moore.I remember watching the saint as a kid, played by Roger Moore. Saw him on car SOS when he signed the drivers seat of a p1800 that fuzz and the tit were restoring.
