Hi everyone ! Took my zippy out after being parked up for about 7 weeks only to find now that as soon as engine gets warm car cuts out , it will start straight back up & run for a minute or two then the same thing happens . Left it stand again now for two days started her up & still the same happens ! Any ideas for a novice . :( Thanx

Hi tony it's the 1.9 . No not had codes read yet just wondered if anyone else has had similar problems .

Really need to start off with getting the codes read as it may be throwing something pretty obvious.

I would agree with the guys above, get the codes read so you won't be hunting in the dark.

Ask on here if there is a "local" member who has a code reader and could do it for you.

I've seen on EBay you can get a cheap code reader but can they be connected inside my 96 ? & where if so .
 
You want to connect to the round plug in the engine compartment which gives you complete readings! Several code readers on eBay are excellent buys but insure you get the adapter cord with the unit. I think I paid around £60. I'm sure someone will supply make and model numbers as mine is in my shop at my son's! JIM
