I bough my 2.2 on 96k and it's now on 106k. It's needed its share of work doing on it (mainly bushes) but most of these are as much age related than mileage. Rubber bushes don't last forever, along with other parts. If you buy a car this age (youngest being 13 years) then they will need tinkering.

But tinker with them and you can easily get 200k plus miles from one, with a huge grin to boot :)

Bought mine on 130,000. Its now done just over 150,000, as said previously as long as they are serviced they will go forever.;)

Like any vehicle it's the maintenance and service of it's past that tells the tale. I bought a 91 Merc 190e with 320k that now has about 340k with a small trans problem and I plan on getting to 500k. Bought the car for about £400 and other than oil changes and a battery has cost nothing. So don't shy away from milage if the car shows well! JIM
