Hello everyone. I have a 2,8 1998 Z3 that I am using in a project. I have joined the forum to see if anyone would be interested in some parts that will become redundant as the project progresses. This will include the bonnet, boot lid, front light clusters complete, rear light clusters complete, sills and, later, the hood, seats, wheels and tyres.

The car is Montreal blue with beige interior and black hood, all panels in good nick, all lights etc are working (as I am driving it around at the moment)

I would like to sell in job lots if possible rather than odd bits...I live in the Redditch area and will be happy to give my phone number to anyone who might be interested.

Thanks for letting me join and I look forward to hearing from anyone interested in the above.

Regards
Sir P

Thanks Andy...I was a bit worried in case the site was just for purists, who might think pulling my Z apart and sticking a new body on it was sacrilege!!

OK then, no worries, I will post updates on here as well as the DNA owners club site (which any of you guys can visit should you wish to have a shuffty)
I have placed my deposit and, due to space issues, have asked DNA to put the bare body on for me. They are doing this during the second half of August. Until then I am running the Z, to iron out any snags. Already had a precautionary clutch change which cost me £375 all in...which I thought was dead reasonable.
Had the usual rocking seat issue, which I fixed with the washers available off here, also had the usual boot wires issue which I have just fixed (although not much need, as the wires are redundant when the car is Calified) I also have a central locking failure on the passenger door, which is probably the actuator, and my reversing lights don't work.

Any gen on any of these snags would be gratefully received. Also I need to make the central locking remote....it only works off the keys at the moment.

My N/S door actuator failed on my Z3. I fitted a replacement from Euro Car Parts It cost £35 approx. but that was about 3 years ago. Easy enough job. If you have the fob or built into the key remote they have different issues.

Tony.
