Hi Kane - I did the conversion on a 1997 2.8 which has a single stage system - successfully.
You have a dual stage, so the conversion is straight forward. The wiring connectors to the air bag are universal, so you won't need any connectors to be changed.Basically you will need an e85 Z4 wheel and airbag. The reason for the e85 wheel is it isn't a multi-function wheel, which would be costly and useless on a Z3.
The Z4 wheel is thicker, and smaller.
The adapter part you will need, I have. View attachment 135987 View attachment 135989
Can I get one as well. Thanks.

NB. The Z4 wheel you will require must NOT be one of the "multi-functional" types. The early Z4 wheel was a plain wheel without any buttons on the wheel arms. See pic below.

Please could you send me the info on machining/adapter as well, I really struggle with the Z3 wheel.

Hello Jen.

I have the adapter which I can supply. Also, if you PM your email addy to me, I will mail you all the info on the machining required on the Z4 wheel. It isn't very complicated.
The adapter is £ 30.00 incl postage. Payment via PayPal.
Please let me know which year / model of Z3 you have and I will try to provide you as much info as possible.

Do you have any more adapters available? Just bought a Z4 M wheel for my Z3 M coupe. Also need to know the machining process. Thanks!

Hi @Southernboy, I am very keen on doing an upgrade as such,

Any chance i can contact you via email or something?

Just need the ins and outs on how to make this happen,
Are you still also providing the adapter plates?

Thank you.
