I feel at home already , thanks for the tips so far ,my budget is about 5 grand and I live near Preston ,Lancashire was hoping to find a silver manual one was not to sure about engine size as will only be doing about 4000 MPY and only in good weather ,if I can drop on a low mileage one then over the next 5/10 years I will keep the mileage reasonable,It will be well looked after

£5k will buy you a nice low mileage car with change. I use mine on weekends and nice weather days so I don't worry about mpg. My 2.8 will return 30 on a run as will a 3.0. I only did 1500 between the last mot's and the Car is up on emissions probably due to the lack of mileage. Choose carefully and you'll have a good life long friend if you look after it.

Getting there mate. Just the rear window to do post this then she's bob on. MOT in November so let's see what that picks up. A few trips out to the Wall, Leicester, Santa Pod and Reading so it will be a good stretch of her legs. Hopefully no pending issues..

thanks grumpy for the info its funny though once you start looking you can always find one that's a grand more than the one your looking at ,there's is one for £8000 grand that's hardly been used,but that's to much for me but 2.8 or 3 ltr at 30 mpg is useful to know
