Hi All

Those who reside on Z4Forum probably know me by now but I'm new to registering on here so I shall introduce myself :D

I am Mike and I have just got back from the 475 mile round trip to pick up my new Z3.

It is a 1999 2.8 Facelift currently sat on 102k miles and in generally a good condition for its age!

Couple of niggles with it to diagnose / sort as with all older cars:
- Passenger side window doesn't stop when going up or down, presumably regulator has broken... need to look into the fix.
- Small leak in the seal above the drivers window in the torrential downpour yesterday
- Steering wheel shakes under light braking, discs are fairly new so maybe they aren't sitting properly.
- Drivers side speaker doesn't seem to work half the time, maybe a loose wire

Other than that no real issues!

I am quite well known on the Z4Forum having owned a 2.0 and 3.0si roadster, and also holding the title of the only forum wedding having met my, now, wife on the site when she owned a Z4MC! Since getting rid of the Z4s I have also had a V8 S5, however that went horribly wrong and stung me so shall never be mentioned again regardless of my love for it.

I look forward to settling into the community and getting out to some gatherings!

Cheers

Mike
Hi, @Disca and welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Very fine looking car you have there. The best of luck with it. You happened to join the forum at a good time as there if a meet that will occur on Sept. 11 given by @t-tony . Some of the members are forming mini-cruises to drive to it. The meet itself is at the White Swan at Torksey Lock. If you contact Tony about it he'll give you all the details. It 's the perfect time to meet a large number of the members as it is a popular event and well attended. I was there last year and had a great time. Can't make it this year as I don't have the funds for the flight at the moment. It is a very friendly forum and all the members will be glad to meet you. Frankie
