There is no bad etiquette when it comes to posting pictures... Here is a good start :)

No rules, only rule is post pics!

Love the colour, is that an individual order car?

Hey y'all, I just bought my wife a 2000 Z3 roadster and thought I'd pop on and say hi. She has wanted a Z3 since this one was new, and we finally got her one. It's purple to boot, which is her favorite color. :) I've got a couple of issues I'll be posting questions about, but I thought I'd introduce myself.
Hi, welcome from Manitoba. Just registered yesturday and wow what a friendly bunch. My car is in England awaiting export can't wait!! Where's you come across a purple? I looked for about six months because my granddaughter wanted one. Good luck and may our paths cross many times. JIM

Purple is my wife's favorite color and we just happened across a purple Z3 that was for sale in the Dallas area, and the price was right. We have a laundry list of things that need to be replaced/fixed, but once they're done, the car will be so nice and yes my wife is going to use it as the daily driver. Just the other day she drove it to work and called me on the way home with the top down, and she was having the time of her life. :)

Some pics.

Yeah, I had the same thought as your wife, :"I'll drive around with the top down today", but I ran into a slight problem here in Jersey:

We're only a few weeks behind you. We'll soon be making that dream a reality. Great pics of the car. Very nice!!!! Frankie

Heh heh heh yeah we don't get too much of that down here. We actually have days in a row of 70 degree weather, followed by a couple of days in the 20's and 30's then back up. In Texas, you can actually get some good winter driving weather if you try hard enough.

From up here in the great white north that's what's known as " a chance of snow. May be followed by snow" have fun guy's, JIM

We have had a few days where it suddenly reaches the 50's but every thing is wet from the snow melting and the streets are wet and loaded with salt. I'd like to wait 'till there is a good rain and a dry period so the roads dry out. Then I'll take it out for a ride in the pines. Frankie

I know you're chomping at the bit for your car to get here. Just the sight of the car sitting in your driveway or in your garage, if you have one will make your heart sing 'cause then it will only be the turn of the key for your dream to be a reality. Frankie

I'm happy that there are more and more of you guys joining from over here because if I wanted to use the forum at this time, all the guys in the UK are sleeping and no one to talk to except maybe hard top who is a really great guy with a super sense of humor.

That is one thing I'm glad we don't use down here - salt. They use sand on bridges and overpasses, which helps marginally, but you don't have to worry about it rotting your car from the undercarriage.

Very stylish car! with 2.8 and manual gear box should be real fun:coolsteer)!! Will be shame to use it on salty roads .

Frankie, the car cover didn't arrived yet?:arghh:
Still under the snow?!:banghead:

Hi Guys, I'll cover a few points here instead of replying to each individually. Right now, under 3 feet of snow are about 15 cars with another 25 out back. Another six and three bikes at the shop at my son's just a five minute walk. BUT I still get goosies looking out or I'm just cold cuz it's been about -40 for two months. I think we're better off up here where salt is concerned with pretty much four distinct seasons. If you can only see green- summer only white-winter white- green spring and green-snow fall.

Sounds more like winter and July. That gives you just enough time to wax your car.
It's a crap shoot which couple of days of the year they'll hit and if those couple of good summer days fall back to back what a bonus. Last happened in 1879 if I recall. I was thinking about your wife's car and seem to recall it being for sale some time back. Didn't fit my budget. She's going to love it. Ae you in Dallas?

You're confusing my post with ttg. Frankie

Also, my wife won't drive a stick. I just bought her a Honda CRV and taught her how to drive a stick. She can drive it but refuses to do so as she is too afraid of being on an incline and drifting backwards when stopped and trying to take her foot off the break and release the clutch to start up. She's afraid she'll hit the car behind her before she starts to go forward. Now I have to sell it. Its an 04 with 84k miles on it. Looks like its new. What's a husband to do?
I live 9 miles from Atlantic City in Egg Harbor Township. Frankie

Just watching Fox news here in the UK Frankie, it looks like you're in for another load of snow. It doesn't let up does it?
