Hi all

I have been lurking for a while and picked up a lot of good info. Owner of a 2002 2.2 Z3 in what I think is is the best BMW colour - Estoril Blue (you might notice another car in the photos).

Bought at the start of last summer and in pretty good condition. 62k miles and everything worked when bought other than passenger seat forward and back but a delicate tap with a hammer got the motor working again!

All was going great until near the end of October when I took it out for a spin - literally! It had been dry and then heavy rain combined with a left hand corner I know well and I ended up in a field. The Z has rear suspension damage and a damaged wing but is on the road to recovery.........

I will post another thread when I get time but so far I have done the following:

Replaced rear crossmember
Replaced passenger side trailing arm
Poly bushed rear end
Replaced rear brake pipes

Almost ready to get back on to its 4 wheels!

Appreciate all the help so far on rear end rebuilds etc.

Thanks JC

Hi, welcome from Mansfield.

Great colour.

Glad to hear you’re able to repair your Zed and keep it on the road.
