Well, just bought a new head unit and installed. New Sony xem. Didn't have the keys so a bit sketchy getting the old unit out. Managed it after a bit of a struggle. Definitely need better speakers although much improved sound over old unit.

Hi. Thanks for that. Is it able to take Bluetooth or is it cable ?
No blue tooth or cable for me it had to look like a factory fit.
But I did wire in an after market iPod connection. Its the BMW BUSINESS BLAUPUNKT ROVER CD43

I found the rear speakers useless so I unplugged them. They have a rotating ring holding them in place. I used the roll bar hatch to stick my hand in.

I'd like to upgrade the original speakers. Especially the rear one.
Original speakers seemed great to me, the foot well speakers are powered and some after market headunits do not send the signal to enable the amps to switch on thats why my sony after macket sounded sh1t at first till I found a fix but that gave other problems.
So went for the retro look. with the CD43

Hi Matt,

Great looking zed you have there and the 2.8 engine is great as that is what I had in my first zed too. Seat bushes should be with you shortly as posted out this morning so hope you enjoy fitting them. ;)
