Hello all, new to Zroadster. I purchased a 2001 Z3 3.o last December. 27,000miles with clean Carfax from a dealer. As i have read there is no adjustment for the rear camber/caster. It looked very odd to me so I had my local shop check the alignment. The camber on the right rear is 3.8 and the toe was off 1.18. AS you can guess it's eating tires. I did read on this site about the springs and spring bushings. I replaced the bushings, top and bottom with thicker ones. I had ordered new springs however the factor springs were shorter that the springs on the car. As the springs were ok and showed no cracking, i left them on. Still too much camber.

Just signed up today. Purchased my 2001 Z3 December 2016.
Welcome to the forum from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. You have a nice looking car with low miles. I have a2000 Z3 ///M that I drove from California back to New Jersey with a fellow forum member from Wales named @miller1098. On the way back, we got a flat tire and had to buy a new one. They looked ok when we left Calif. but we didn't look close enough to the inside of the tire which was completely worn. When they came to replace the tire, we noticed that the OTHER tire was just as worn on the inside. When I came home, I found out that they are set that way from the factory. It seems that this improves the performance when running the car hard. As a result, the tires don't last very long about 20,000 miles or so. You can remove them and remount them to get even wear out of them.

Hey Frankie, I live in WV. Actually from NJ, grew up in Cinnaminson and summered on LBI. My day sold the house on LBI and now lives in retirement community in Manahawkin. Get down that way once in a while. When I purchased the car it had brand spanking new directional tires. Now has 33K and the inside are gutted. All miles were basically 2 trips, one to Jupiter FL and one to Myrtle Beach.

Guess the next set won't be directional so I can rotate them.

Didn't you try that for at least 75% of the journey?
