The cable is free. It is the arm on the side of the heater core box that is stuck. I have removed the control cable from the arm. The arm itself will not move. The bowden cable may be snapped or siezed
I,m traveling right now but do have an inspection camera on a staulk. Will try to look when I get home. This problem was off and on for a while so don't know if a twig would act like that. It looks like a good portion of the dash would have to be removed to get to the heater box and open it up.My guess is that something, a twig or such has got into the air duct and has physically jammed the flap inside the heater box. Can you see anything with an endoscope attached to your phone maybe?

Some procedures here that may be useful - you'll have to reselect for your particular model. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/...ating-air-conditioning/64-11-heater-controls/.....................
