After a bit of advice from someone who’s had his seats apart.
The lower heated pad and the upper I can see a wire that goes between the 2 how are these connected is it by a connector or are the 2 pads connected as one.
My passenger lower heat pad isn’t getting warm. So I don’t know if it’s b*****ed or when I’ve repainted them I’ve pulled the connections apart.
If it’s b*****ed can you suggest where to get a new one.

Not sure what you’re asking about the connector. But it’s most likely not that anyway.

Very common fault on lower pad. There’s a wire that burns out. It’s easy to replace if you can solder. Although dealing with the hog rings is another matter.

Refitting hog rings is not a problem; just need the correct tool.

Not required either. A good pair of pliers and sidecutters.

Tony.

That’s what I use pliers for?

If it works for you great.

But personally I wouldn’t want to try and bend a u-shape fixing into a triangle and make the ends overlap on one side for the sake of £8. And these pliers have a long, offset handle that allows the tool to burrow down onto the attachment rail which is a big part of the battle otherwise. And the tool is spring-loaded which helps too.

I used snipe nosed pliers on the hog rings, found the first couple a pain but it gets easier, the m seats are a different kettle of fish all together as there are a shed load of ties down the back that are secured with hog rings, I lost my patience and used small zip ties,
Back to the OP question, the sear elements are on a connector , pull apart and do a continuity test
