Hi folks,

I'm in the process of retrofitting a set of heated leather seats to my '99 prefacelift Z3. I'm trying to locate the wiring that connects to the seat heater switches in the console. From searching online I cannot find many pictures of what the plugs actually look like apart from one old thread which shows the same type of plugs as per my photo except they are yellow. Can anybody confirm from looking at my photo if I am on the right track here?

Thanks!

The red and black ones are connected to the heated seat switches on mine
And should be six wires to each of them.

In case you dont know, the colours of the wires are different between the drivers and passengers switches.

You should be able to identify from this

Yeah, I have the relay and dash switches ready to go. I'm just waiting for the seat adapter cables (post facelift seats in a pre facelift car) to arrive. I think that's all I'll need.

Have you tried the seats to make sure they do actually heat? Bit of a PITA if you get them in, press the button, and nothing happens. The elements have been known to break.
Yeah, I briefly tested them in the car I took them from and they seemed to work fine. Hopefully that's still the case when they're transferred over..
