I first used this type of notes back in 1999 while I as in Australia for 7 weeks.
Can't think why it's taken the UK so long to get round to using them

5min After reading this post the wife came in and showed me 5xnew £5 notes, so now I've seen and felt them it don't matter if I leave em in my pockets in the wash now and I'm wondering if that's why they've made them like this. I wonder who told them.=))

Numbered 21-25. And she wouldn't give me one, said I'll only put it safe somewhere and forget where.:grumpy::confused::meh::bored:
Oh well have to disturb all the moths and get one of my own.:D
Rha, Roy.

Low number for you @Rha :p
So it's the men who leave the notes in their pockets =))
My notes are always in my purse ;)

I think it's the way of the world @katkwak :p
I've always got Alans money too :)

We've had these for years now and can't understand why anyone would pay anything more than the £5 they're worth and always will be. You can leave them in the wash but don't put them in your dryer as they'll melt together and be worth nothing in the end. Before you know it there will be billions of them in circulation and you'll wonder why you kept those first few!! JIM
