Have you got a phobia

Not my claustrophobia but when I was on my coal face training one of the men started with it working in 42 inch height. We had real trouble getting him out and he never came underground again. 10 years underground and then he started with it, very odd but not pleasant experience for him or us.

Years ago one of my lads was in BA in a confined space 'live' fire exercise, threw a track and had to crawl in with another couple of lads to drag him out. No space with a big lad thrashing about with full kit on, poor bugger was gutted but it can strike anybody at any time.

Bunch of weirdos on here....o_O

I'm dreading seeing what phobia HT has :p

Running out of beer.

a joker thought it was funny to lock me in my cab for an hour whilst the lads went on lunch. He didn't know it was going to wreck my bloody life

And you, yah wus, should have just put your feet up for an hour and gone to sleep.....

We had one lad go mental during helicopter escape training when we were upside down under water in a pool in a mock up chopper.

Mine is a real problem for me, don't think there's an official name for it.

I can't be near to other people when they are eating, especially if they talk when they're eating, I have to leave to room.

For my train journeys I have my ipod turned up loud and I close my eyes.

If someone calls me on the phone and they are eating I have to tell them to call back when they've finished lunch.

It sounds silly, but I really do have to leave the room.

Lol! Wish I had, but a space 3ft sq for an hour is hard to accept.

You must have been working in it for more than an hour a day?
But the whole point Mike is that he knew he could get out whenever he wanted to. When someone locks you in somewhere, like a lift car etc.,that's when you're not in control and the problems start. It's real thing if you suffer from it.

Tony.

If so what is it :)

I've got a phobia of birds :(
And heights :(

And also learning to swim :(
Ive got a phobia to ex wives, wedding cake & swimming in the sea ( because some Pratt harpooned me

joker thought it was funny

You would have loved to have worked with me then.....;)
Back in 80, 81 I worked in the scaffolding biz.
We were on a big job building hanging scaffold up at 104 meters and had to take a small lift up to the top.
We found out that if we stuck a welding rod in a hole next to the button panel on the ground floor, we could stop the lift.

Should have heard the noise made by the lads in the lift....:D (there was only room for five people at a time)

I was 18 at the time I was doing this work and thought I was indestructible, as you do at that age.
Thinking back about it now, I get sweaty palms......

Not being around people when eating is also one of the traits of autism mate, my son (18), finds it very difficult. Not suggesting you have the condition, just expanding.

My phobia is taking the Z3 out in the rain. Drives the wife mad , I check the weather at least 3 times before we go out.

If I could have taken my ex wife ( number 2)out in the rain I would have had the roof down & the windows open because Drowning would have been cheaper than Divorce
