Has anyone upgraded 2.8 exhaust manifold?

As per the title?

I’m looking to eek out a bit more performance on the ‘98 2.8, planning on doing the m50b28 manifold upgrade and a remap. Apart from this I have read conflicting reports of using S50 exhaust headers on e36 328i’s.

Someone used a cheap eBay manifold with good results but I’m a bit unsure about doing that. S50 manifolds are available for about £400 which could be justifiable, possibly..

I know someone on here has done this - just can’t remember his name! Has a mint silver 2.8 with full S50 exhaust.
