Has anyone done a manual swap?

My friend's recently got a RHD Z3 2.0, AT.

He's thinking of swapping in MT in the future because no RHD model was sold in MT here.
Is there anything he should be aware of besides the tranny, DME, and hydraulic lines related to the clutch pedal? DME (Siemens MS42) also seems to have same part # for MT and AT..

I think the rear axle ratio is different auto to manual.

That's correct. The Auto has an overdrive for a top gear whereas the Manual is 1:1 in 5th. As a guide, my factory 2.0 L manual Z3 sits at 100 kmph at 3,000 rpm. If you don't change the diff ratio, the auto diff will give you somewhere around 4,000 rpm at 100 kmph, a tad high.

Then he might like it just the way it is. He plans to track the car with me :)
