Harriet meets Bella

I have a feeling our Carla would've been a car person. I have no way of confirming this apart from a Dad's intuition, she was a man's girl was Carla. Sadly, I'll never know.:(

SitRep. This is taking forever to jump through the hoops :arghh: 3 days leave taken for 2 pre module 1 test training days and the test, drove 1hr to the Carlisle test centre on Monday, cancelled as the vision on the test pan was a big fat zero :arghh: Now put back to 4th Dec and Module 2 test on 19th Dec, providing I pass Module 1.

Soooooooooo in a fit of desperation to get some miles under my belt I went and purchased a 125cc :D £1770 on the road...
Keeley looks ok Andy, as you say, at least you can get some road experience

SitRep. All tests now passed, happy days indeed. Only one examiner for the whole of Cumbria, sweet Jesus :arghh:

We are the land that time forgot :arghh:

Reminds me of the old Captain Video character from the 50s!! Looks pretty cool, love the color of the helmet!!

Doesn't seem worth starting another thread just for this, so I'll hijack this one. Just for a moment.;) Picked this up in September, 250 of them English quids, non-runner, about 25,000 miles (on a 1999 model bike, WTF?).

Got it running and then starting stripping it and fiddling about
WP_20191023_002.webp
Can you spot the single-sided swing-arm conversion?
WP_20191225_001.webp
Still plenty to do, but that'll be next year. Thread un-hijacked.:)

I've got a 1988 Honda Bros 650cc Vee Twin, looks very similar to your bike. Mine is currently under cover waiting for me to give it some loving. I'm intending to build a cafe racer from it. I've done a few minor mods, like clip ons, removed the rear foot pegs, removed the plastics and shortened the rear sub frame. The Bros already has the single swing arm as standard. They were made for the Japanese home market and were never officially sold here in the UK. They started arriving in the early nineties as grey imports.

Good luck with your project

Forgot this one. Does that look suspiciously like Topaz Blue? With a black wheel? Reminds me of a Z3 I've seen somewhere. Oh yes, my one. Guess the Zs' calipers are due for a coat or two of yellow, then.

Should be ready in time for Easter, I've got totally pi55ed off with having to queue everywhere round here when the place fills up with tourists.

removed the rear foot pegs,

As much as this? From

Started as a Deauville, the ones with the fairing and panniers, looks a lot better without. VFR800 tank to fill up the gap left by throwing the fairing and bodywork, and a seat from a Ducati 916 to remove the risk of anyone asking for a lift. More than one grumpy git round here, you know:whistle:

I'm going single seat too, I was thinking of going with the traditional cafe racer "hump" seat but I'm still thinking to be honest.
