hows it fitted at the front?
is there the catches that we have on the soft tops ?

Nope two torx bolts that come up through the top of the A pillers, you can see the holes from the top and recessin the piller plastic if you look underneath. When you get a hardtop make sure you get these along with the torx driver T handle tool.

ahhhhh ...bisto moment.....i see....so you could transport one of these if you took it easy....hmmm :ymdaydream:

You can transport it without the rear fitting brackets if your careful. We did it by securing the front with the torx bolts and put towels over the rear where it touches the boot and secured the rear down buy putting ratchet straps around the hardtop clamps down through the seatbelt loops at the bottom of the seats. It was rock solid and didn't move at all and was fine for transporting back home until we could get the fitting kit in.

Yes the chap who bought my last hardtop just secured the front as he hadn't got the fitting kit and made it home quite safely.

I did 70 in reverse once.........in my old XK8..........across an active aircraft runway. I ended up with brown trousers and a broken gearbox. :nearmiss)

The car is looking great Wayne, it looks like it has a real purpose about it now. Lets get the old girl on the track and see what shakes loose!!!!!! :D
