@oldcarman may be worth seeing what price this ends up at, it will need a respray regardless of the car colour due to the condition it is in - which i guess may deter some people. Interestingly they mentioned they will be listing a Z3 suitcase soon :)

Hi Ash already on it, thanks! Waiting for a reply and from Hugh's response I gather he would be able to retrieve it and store for me. At least I think that's what I read between the lines. I asked if anyone else on forum was bidding but no responses yet. May need to do some creative book keeping as this is a bad time of year for me. JIM

You haven't been keeping up with the price of the installation fittings have you Gaz!! JIM
Yes I have Jim and I can easily see this as a package reaching around £1000 or even more I'm commenting on the lack of smart bidding ;)

Is there such a thing as smart bidding and if there is please teach me. My name is JIM and I'm an ebayoholic!!

Is there such a thing as smart bidding
Yes, and it's really simple. Don't try and be the highest bidder throughout the entire auction . I only bid once and that's at the end. You only need to be the highest bidder at the second the auction closes...

I do it differently. I calculate my highest bid based on past research and what I can afford to pay and bid that as soon as I've decided I really must have the item. I never go above that and have beaten many last second bidders by as little as a penny or the exact same bid many times because the earlier bid wins. So I'm not really sure about a smart way to bid and win that would work all the time. JIM

I decide how much an item is worth to me and slap the price in at the death, sometimes I win and sometimes I don't but I never pay more than I originally think an item is worth. I honestly don't think I would get the use out a hardtop to warrant the going rate.

It's not the HT is overly expensive but the install kits go for what I think is ridiculous $$$. Over the past nearly 2 yrs they go from £400 - £1995. I didn't get a complete set, the front bolts and the rear covers were missing but the auction was only 6 min old and was a BIN @ £99 plus P&P shipped to the PO who installed it. Talk about luck! JIM

And it was missing bolts too.. I think I will stick with my hood as is at that price.. As £920 is a lot of fun in the fuel tank..
