Hardtop fitted (as directed)

I know it's bonkers having a lid on during this glorious weather but I wanted to take the opportunity to fit it by the book. I borrowed the fitting guages and hook spanner (thanks Robert) and with the kind help of @Synclare fitted the roof to spec.

It will be off sharpish but at least I know its not going to spoil the paint going over potholes or whistle too much at speed when it goes on Iater in the year.. .as for leaks...will not have to worry about that for a while

Well twas a tad warm for such activities which is why I wasn't surprised to see Stefans bed sheets and pillow on the floor with a copy of Classic Car Weekly with zed feature in:

The covers Stefan ordered for the front attachment plates (to windscreen frame) that were missing off the hard top.

Adjusting pin height to achieve correct clearance on the plastic gauges:

Gauge in situ to measure clearance between hard top and rear deck panel (with feeler gauge also)

What's the gauge for? When I fitted mine I dropped the rear into the receivers which I left loose, fixed the front and then adjusted and tightened up the rear. Took about half an hour but I'm thinking I may have missed a step or two after seeing this
