Personally I prefer my z3 with the hard top on but that said I’m going to the Isle of Wight tomorrow so I took my hard top of today

Do you still have the Z from 20 years ago?
I wish I did, unfortunately I had to let it go for a sensible car as we were starting a family... Ironically it was around this time I started losing my hair ;)

The hard top looks great but I haven't used mine for 2 years because I love the fresh air.

My hard top has been gathering dust in the corner of the shed for years.

I bought our second Zed with a hardtop as the seller wanted it to go with the car. I fitted it to drive home, took the photo you see in my signature and couldn't wait to get it off. Sold it a few months later. They do change the look of the Zed completely but for me as long as it's not raining the roof is down. Although, sometimes when it starts to pour down on a run the roof has been down, eh @Bozzy ;).

I can see the logic for a hardtop if you run a Zed as a daily in the winter though:thumbsup:

Soft top for me . You get a great panoramic view when driving through the country side. Also we would have far less moving pictures when on runs if the passengers couldn't stick their phone /camera in the air=))

Have a hardtop simply to protect the soft top from the ravages of winter as the car is parked outside. It does make it a more civilised car to drive throughout the winter when it’s fit and no salt on the roads, but, it makes it a nuisance when it’s nice enough for top down driving on those few days where it’s clear and sunny. It’s a two person job to put on and remove.

I have a top box hoisted into the garage roof. Maybe that should be relegated outside so I could use the hoist.

Soft top for me. The whole point of buying a roadster was having the option to put the roof down. I also prefer the lines of the soft top:thumbsup:

I guess the beauty is in having the option. They do become two completely different looking cars with soft / hard roof on and become different again with soft top down. 3 cars for the price of one :)

I'm function over form. Use mine all year round with the soft top (driving roof down in the snow is great); do look good with the hard top though.
