just purchased my first 2002 z3 3 l, bit annoyed I did not buy one years ago, missed out on a lot of potential fun, usual steering issues, tramlining, have z3m lollipop bushes on order and hope this will help otherwise plenty of other issues to check out as per forum, I also have a Volvo p1800 for about 20 odd years still under major restoration, looking forward to playing with the z3, will have to remove sills in winter months to refurbish they are not to bad but woth the time to make it right.
